Breweries in Mesa, AZ
12 West Brewing Tap Room & Restaurant has been a community hotspot since joining the Mesa beer scene in 2020. Owner Bryan McCormick designed the two-story taproom to be a central gathering place on Main Street. In addition to their incredible 12 on-tap selection, be sure to ask about their signature cocktails, including the Butterfly Effect. And if you're there on the weekend, don't forget to check out the Cellar located in the basement.
Or visit Oro Brewing Company, nanobrewery and taproom just down the street. Nestled in a 1920s brick building. Offerings include diverse beer styles from its 14 taps and to-go packaging. The passion project of two longtime friends, Oro is rooted in the neighborhood. Its “Community Tap” dedicates a portion of sales to a different local non-profit or awesome cause each month.
Pedal Haus Biergarten is the newest microbrewery to join downtown Mesa, bringing a local, independent craft beer experience to the heart of the city. Housed in a former auto body shop, this unique location specializes in True To Style beers, from the award-winning Day Drinker Light Lager to rich bourbon barrel-aged Imperial stouts. Pedal Haus offers a vibrant patio setting perfect for enjoying their selection, along with a full bar, elevated pub fare, and a great space for private events and celebrations.

Venturing further from the heart of Mesa’s city center is Lochiel Brewing, a deaf-owned Scottish brewery founded in May 2015 by Ian Cameron, a ninth-generation brewer from the Clan Cameron lineage. Known for its traditional malt-forward Scottish, Irish, and English-styled beers, Lochiel Brewing produces all beers—except for the Statehood Lager—using family recipes passed down through generations. One of their most notable brews, the Scotch Ale, features a recipe that is over 450 years old. The brewery, housed in a state-of-the-art 10-barrel electric brewhouse, honors the rich heritage of the Cameron Clan from the Northwest Highland region of Lochaber, near Fort William, Scotland. The name "Lochiel", (pronounced as lock-eel) reflects the Chieftain and Noble branch of the Clan Cameron family, whose leaders were responsible for maintaining the laws of the land and settling disputes.
