Together In The Desert
TOGETHER IN THE DESERT WILL BE A LARGE-SCALE DESERTSCAPE DISPLAYED IN DOWNTOWN MESA, CREATED BY INDIVIDUALS THROUGHOUT OUR COMMUNITY.
The i.d.e.a. Museum kicks off a community art project in July to continue to support Downtown Mesa's businesses and Arts & Culture institutions.
Museum staff on Wednesdays will showcase a variety of art activities highlighting our appreciation of the beauty of living together in the desert. We’re creating a 3D desert landscape with decorated branches, desert sky silhouettes and binoculars. On week 4, we’ll show you how to create an art installation of these beautiful artworks. We’ll also be sharing a community art project our final week.
We hope you’ll join us on Wednesdays, as we show you how to make these artworks. Please snap a photo to share with us, and send your pics to [email protected]. Additionally, we hope to see your artworks on social media. Use the hashtag #TogetherInTheDesert, so we may follow along!
Those who participate in the activity for the entire month of July will be entered into a drawing to win a family admission pass for 6 members of your family, good for a future visit to the i.d.e.a. Museum, as well as a gift card from Downtown Mesa Association.
