MESA GETS FROTHIER WITH NEW BREWERIES AND THE 3rd ANNUAL COPPER STATE BEER FESTIVAL AT RIVERVIEW PARK JANUARY 13th
The Largest Craft Beverage and Food Festival in Mesa will Feature Over 100 Vendors
MESA, Ariz. (January 4, 2024) – The craft beverage scene continues to grow in Mesa with new downtown brew stops and the 3rd Annual Copper State Beer Festival returning to Riverview Park on January 13, 2024.
The Copper State Beer Festival will have more than 100 premium craft beverage vendors, many of which are based in Mesa City Limitless. Keep an eye out for these East Valley vendors participating in the festival:
Arizona Distilling Co., the first to legally distill liquor in the state since Prohibition with its flagship Copper City Bourbon.
Cider Corps is Arizona’s first veteran-owned cidery and was recently named #4 in USA Today’s 10 best cideries in the United States for 2023.
Barrio Brewing, the state’s oldest craft brewery with a location near Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.
Chupacabra Taproom in downtown Mesa, co-brewer of Visit Mesa’s Spectrum IPA, which will release again this April in honor of National Autism Awareness Month with proceeds supporting the Mesa Regional Foundation for Accessibility, Diversity and Inclusion.
Old Ellsworth Brewing, Queen Creek’s first brewery and taproom.
New to Downtown Mesa and another vendor at the festival is Phantom Fox, a craft brewery owned by the same operator of Chupacabra Taproom. Also newly opened in 2023 is Level 1 Arcade Bar, which seamlessly blends craft beer and arcade games and has a must-visit hidden speakeasy, Alchemy 48. Coming soon to Mesa with a wide selection of craft beers is Pedal Haus Brewery, named 2023 Brewery of the Year by the Arizona Craft Beer Awards.
“The accelerated growth and concentration of these businesses in downtown Mesa, along with the Copper State Beer Festival, have helped make our city one of the top craft beverage destinations in Arizona and beyond,” said Visit Mesa President and CEO Marc Garcia. “We’re excited to host this incredible event and to welcome visitors to Mesa, where they can experience all we have to offer.”
At the festival, attendees will be able to check into selected Mesa breweries via Visit Mesa’s digital passport and will have the opportunity to win prizes. Find the Visit Mesa booth at the festival for more information. Festival goers will also have the opportunity to explore a fully curated selection of 90+ breweries/cideries, 10+ distilleries, and 5+ wineries/meaderies. Local food trucks, live entertainment and lawn games will also be available for guests.
“Mesa is the perfect location for the festival because it has an extraordinary brewery scene that, when coupled with our event, offers the ultimate Arizona pub crawl,” said Event Director Joseph Lopez. “Together we offer a curated collection of the best craft beverages not only from various corners of our state but also from across the nation.”
