Breweries in Mesa, AZ
Mesa, Arizona's micro-breweries are blossoming with local craft beer.
12 West Brewing Tap Room & Restaurant is the newest hotspot joining the Mesa beer scene. Owner Bryan McCormick designed the two-story taproom to be a central gathering place on Main Street. In addition to their incredible on-tap selection, be sure to ask about their signature cocktails including the Butterfly Effect.
Or visit Oro Brewing Company, nanobrewery and taproom just down the street. Nestled in a 1920s brick building. Offerings include diverse beer styles from its 14 taps and to-go packaging. The passion project of two longtime friends, Oro is rooted in the neighborhood. Its “Community Tap” dedicates a portion of sales to a different local non-profit or awesome cause each month.
Mesa natives, Matt and Greg, were intent on taking their home brewing “research” to the masses and they hit the spot when they opened B.R.I. brew pub. Short for Beer Research Institute, B.R.I. is craft brewery with a focus on crisp, Belgian-style ales that are hop forward and aggressive. Thanks to a recent expansion, the Beer Research Institute is one of Mesa’s largest breweries and taprooms and is a perfect meeting spot for groups large and small.
Venturing a little further from the heart of Mesa is Queen Creek's Creek’s first brewery and taproom, Old Ellsworth Brewing. Home brewers and friends Brian McKean and Ryan Bostrom offer a changing rotation of brews like bocks, barley wines and farmhouse ales that go beyond the ever-popular IPA. Complimenting the beers is a hearty pub menu that is known for its wings and poutine.
