Things to Do
Adventure in Mesa
Check out our round-up of family-friendly Spring Break activities for the whole family here in City Limitless®.

1. Explore the Desert
Just outside of the hustle and bustle of the city is Arizona's Tonto National Forest. Wander amidst towering Saguaro cacti, meander through mountains adorned with vibrant wildflowers, or bike among dirt paths amid the surrounding desert landscape.
2. Kayak on the Salt River
For kiddos itching to get in the water, Yak N Sup, Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch and Riverbound Sports Paddle Co. offer kayak and paddleboard rentals out at the scenic Canyon Lake, Salt River and Saguaro Lake. This experience allows you and the family to immerse yourselves in nature while enjoying a fun new activity together.
3. The Wild West Experience
If you want a true Wild West experience, head over to Goldfield Ghost Town and walk around the historic old mining town, pan for gold then take a ride on Arizona’s only narrow-gauge train. You’ll also get to witness an old west gun fight performed by the famous Goldfield Gunfighters!
4. The Arizona Renaissance Festival
The Arizona Renaissance Festival is a local favorite for family fun and gives you a great opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather and sunshine! With jousting, food, music, comedy and arts; there’s sure to be something for the whole family. This medieval-style faire is held on Saturdays and Sundays through March 30. If you’re traveling on a budget, the faire is great because kids under 5 get in for free!

Spring Training
For baseball fans, you won’t want to miss seeing a Chicago Cubs or Athletics game during your Spring Break trip. Each year, the month of March brings thousands of baseball fans to Mesa for Major League Baseball Spring Training.
The gorgeous spring weather here in Mesa sets the perfect scene for a day at the diamond. When you go, opt for a spot on the lawn over the stadium-style seats. You’ll save money and get more leg room to spread out. Plus, there’s nothing like lounging on the lawn in the sunshine while enjoying a nice, cool treat like an ice cream cone!
Keep the Game Going
Let the baseball fun continue at AZ Dingers, a premier indoor sports facility with top-of-the-line baseball and softball batting cages, a HitTrax simulation system, pitching and team skills areas, a weight training room, and a lounge area.

Where to Stay
Holiday Inn & Suites Phoenix Mesa Chandler is a great place to stay with the kids. The central location and easy access to the freeway will allow you to access fun across the entire city. Plus, the outdoor pool is a perfect spot to soak up the spring time sun!
