Where to Play Pickleball in Mesa

Pickleball has become an insanely popular sport and is only continuing to grow its fan base. Mesa is one of the most perfect places to play pickleball nearly year-round, with its fantastic weather almost always offering a great environment to play in.

Whether you’re a pro or a beginner, the community of pickleball players is not one to judge. And you’re in luck, as Mesa offers just under 30 different courts to choose from. Below we have shared 5 of our favorites that are definitely worth checking out.

Outdoor Courts

1. Mesa Tennis & Pickleball Center at Gene Autry Park

Mesa Tennis & Pickleball Center at Gene Autry Park offer pickleball lessons, reservation time slots and, of course, organized play. While there are court rental fees, you can be guaranteed a spot to play at your desired time. This court venue also offers tennis courts and sand volleyball which you can make reservations for as well. 2. Val Vista Village RV Resort

The pickleball courts at Val Vista Village RV Resort are another one of the most popular places to play pickleball in Mesa. There are 4 outdoor hard courts that are dedicated courts with permanent lines and nets. Amenities include lights and restrooms, and the facility requires a one-time fee to play.

3. Kleinman Park

Try out 4 outdoor hard courts with permanent lines and nets at Kleinman Park. Reservations are available and the courts are free. Amenities include lights. Check it out!

4. Arizona Athletic Grounds

Arizona Athletic Grounds offers 40 outdoor courts and 12 indoor courts, available for both members and non-members alike. Guests can reserve a court at any time; however, courts may be closed from time to time. On average, guests can expect the courts to be open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

5. Red Mountain Multigenerational Center

If you’re looking for an indoor court space, Red Mountain Multigenerational Center is the place to go. Offering 3 indoor wood courts, guests can access both permanent and portable nets. Amenities include restrooms and locker rooms. While the courts are free, guests cannot reserve the courts.

Scheduled to come to mesa in November of 2024, Mesa Riverview expects to have its very own indoor pickle ball facility. The complex anticipates eight indoor courts and three outdoor courts, including a sunken court for professional games and TV coverage. Stay tuned for more!
