Get Outdoors!

Soak up the sun as you explore Mesa's backyard. Just minutes from Downtown Mesa you can experience the gorgeous desert scenes you see on postcards.

Things to Do Outside

1. Hiking & Biking:

Put on your hiking boots or hop on your bike and go explore! From the gorgeous trails to paths scattered throughout Mesa, there are plenty of places to explore. Check out Usery Mountain Regional Park, Lost Dutchman State Park and the Superstition Mountains. Each of these spots have stunning trails and paths to see.

2. Kayaking & Paddleboarding:

The Salt River is perfect for exploring throughout both spring and summertime. Hop on your kayak or paddleboard and set your mind for adventure. Thankfully, several businesses in the valley offer paddleboard and kayak rentals or guided tours. Some of our favorites, in no particular order, include No Snow Paddleboards & Kayaks, Riverbound Sports Paddleboard Co., and Yak N Sup.

3. Arizona Goat Yoga:

Get your next outdoor yoga flow in with none other than Arizona's world-famous goats. This experience is one for all ages. If you're an animal lover...this one's for you. Check it out here.

4. ATV / UTV Tours:

If you're more of a dare devil, UTV and ATV tours may be more your speed...literally. Check out a handful of great spots to book a guided tour through the desert via UTV or a similar motorized vehicle of your liking. Try out Arizona Outdoor Fun Adventures & Tours, Stellar Adventures, Fort McDowell Adventures or Desert Dog Off Road Adventures.

5. Golfing:

Arizona is a golf lover's paradise! With our exceptional weather most of the year and wonderfully sunny days, you can be sure to enjoy your tee time clear till the end of your round of golf. Check out a bunch of different golf courses right here in Mesa:
