Teton Ken
Teton Ken, originally from Wyoming, found his way to Arizona and never looked back. An adventurer from a young age, Ken earned his iconic nickname when he was still a boy. At just 8 years old, a young onlooker saw him standing tall in front of the towering Teton Mountains and, impressed by his height, dubbed him "Teton Ken."
Seeking to escape Wyoming's harsh winters, Ken ventured to Arizona, where he soon found work prospecting across the country. His travels eventually led him to Fort McDowell, just outside of Mesa. Today, Ken shares his passion for the Wild West as a storyteller at the Superstition Mountain Museum along the Apache Trail, where he captivates visitors with tales like the legend of the Lost Dutchman.
